Released after a four-and-a-half-year hiatus following the groundbreaking Brown Sugar, Voodoo debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, selling over 300,000 copies in its first week. The album spent 33 weeks on the charts and produced five singles across its campaign.

In the years since, Voodoo has been universally recognized as a defining milestone of the neo-soul movement at its peak. It continues to appear prominently in “greatest albums” conversations, ranking #28 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

As we celebrate its 25th anniversary, this release also serves as a heartfelt homage to D’Angelo’s legacy following his passing earlier this year and honors his birthday on February 11th, a date now even more meaningful for fans and the music community worldwide.
